How to use this site
- Skip the header with Skip to content (the first tab stop on each page).
- Switch language with English / Español in the header. Legal letters to the landlord stay in English so a court can use them.
- The Indiana map uses arrow keys once it has focus. The county list next to it has the same counts in text.
- Charts on the stats page include a Data table under each figure.
- Form errors appear next to the field, not only as a toast.
What we try to meet
Perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — including visible focus, 24px-class targets on primary controls, contrast on cream, navy, and olive, and no picture-character puzzles to sign in. You can paste a password or use a password manager.
Printed letters open in a new window with a document title and a heading. They are ordinary black-on-white court papers, not a color brochure.
Known limits
- Spanish covers navigation and common screens. Long legal explainers and generated landlord letters remain in English on purpose.
- Some third-party sites we link (USPS, IHCDA, court PDFs) have their own accessibility. We cannot control those pages.
- Drawn signatures are optional. You can type
/s/ Nameinstead. - Stats charts are visual; use the data tables and county list if a chart is hard to read.
